Thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog, and as I am not sure I take your comment for what it is (of course it is simply a genuine compliment), I cant help but feel as if you are patronizing me. I haven't posted for almost six months. Anyway regardless of my notions, any well meaning compliment deserves a quiet thank you, and perhaps a bit of a blush. So Thank You again Livette, and yes of course I am blushing a bit.

I have read The World Is Flat and I agree with you Pat. I thought it was an interesting read as well. In fact, that particular book was the third I had read by Friedman, and I was sold. I signed up for a NY Times Select subscription, and began to read all of his articles twice a week. But then I read a couple of articles at the request of a highly respected friend of mine. Channeling Thomas Friedman by Norman Solomon, AlterNet, and How I Was Wrong About Thomas Friedman same author. These articles really got me thinking about Friedman's motives, other than the ones he shares with his readers, and of course it confused the shit out of me. For the sake of continuing conversation Pat, Ill stop here. Please respond at your convenience.

Well I feel like a dumbass. What a thing to get wrong. I apologize for any offense, and I offer no excuse. I am on the road right now, and have been for about a month, so I have found it difficult to keep up with the blog, which explains why I didn’t respond sooner. I originally intended to correct my error, but I don’t think that would do my learning experience and apology any justice so Ill leave the typo. Furthermore, what kind of record (if you are willing to think of it as such) would this be if I edited after posting. Anyhow Hsu Yang Chang, thanks a lot for taking the time to point out my error, and in doing so, giving me the opportunity to address my mistake. Have a great season. Jacob Barde
